Describe the daughter cells that are produced in mitosis in terms of size, structure and chromosome
Before we describe the daughter cells, let us first define what mitosis is. Mitosis is the kind of cell division concerned with division of somatic or body cells. Somatic cells are all the cells that make up your body, except the ones that are reproductive in nature or called sex cells.
The daughter cells produced in mitosis are similar in structure and size as their parent cell and have the same number of chromosomes (diploid). The chromosomes do not get reduced in daughter cells produced in mitosis because there is no reduction of chromosomes that occur in mitosis (as opposed in meiosis).
